Last week I was delighted beyond measure to be invited on a 4-day trip to Cancun with four other bloggers courtesy of Royal Holiday. They were truly lovely people, bending over backwards to make sure we were safe and happy during our stay at their beautiful Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand all-inclusive resort.
It was my first trip to Cancun and I loved it. The weather was hot and mostly sunny with a few tropical rain showers to keep things interesting. I can’t wait to tell you about the delicious food, Mayan ruins, and the underground river I swam, but they will have to wait for another day.
Today I have two things to tell you about. Here on my blog I’m sharing a few photos of the exquisite flowers I saw on my journey, and if you click here, you can see my article on The Travel Belles where you’ll find pictures of the exquisite beaches and gorgeous turquoise ocean. I hope you enjoy them! ๐
What is your favorite flower?
I’d be so delighted too if someone invite me for vacation i the tropic. You are blessed my dear. Lovely photographs ๐
Krista,
These are such beautiful flowers! I really love flowers but am horrible at keeping them alive. The last pictures is gorgeous, such vibrant colours. I think my favorite flower is the orchid.
Sounds and looks like you had a very relaxing time in Cancun. Lovely beach pictures! Sleeping with the balcony door open and listening to the crashing waves and rustling palm trees, now that’s the life, my friend. Please sneak me in your suitcase next time :-D.
It was such a gift, Elra, and meant so much to me. ๐ I hope you get to travel somewhere beautiful very soon. ๐
Aren’t they so lovely, Lequan? I’m with you – I always kill the poor things. ๐ Orchids are truly amazing – such delicate, gorgeous flowers.
I wish I could’ve take you and all my friends with me. ๐ It was such a peaceful escape. ๐
How totally beautiful your pictures are! I could stare at them all day! I love your blog, I’ll be back! Renee
A trip to Cancun! How fun! Jealous of course, but not sure they have my favorite flower- Origami Dahlia, and orange varieties at that!
Hmmm, next time how do I become a stow away? LOL Glad you had a good time…
Thank you, Renee! I’m so glad you stopped by. ๐
Krista…….these are gorgeous, but my favorite flower remains the Hydrangea with the perfect dahlia as a close second.
I didn’t realize that this was a blog-sponsored trip! How awesome! I’m so glad to hear you had a good time…you of all people deserve it so much! These flowers are absolutely gorgeous! I am captivated by them.
Thank you, dear Joanne!! I was so surprised and delighted. ๐ It meant a great deal to me. ๐
brava krista! you are too cool for school. glad you got a chance at a nice break in the sunshine! and sorry but it’s not possible for me to choose a favorite flower.
brava krista! glad you got some time away in the sunshine! looking forward to more about it!
Brava indeed! So happy for you & what a wonderful opportunity! Just goes to show that all of your hard blogging work has been rewarded… by making others smile you got some joy in return ๐ beautiful flowers..and really wish I had a green thumb as well! xo
What a wonderful vacation full of memories to spare. My favourite flouwer depends on the season. Pansies, daffodils and scilia in the Spring, hydrangeas in the summer. In Vancouver you see entire fences of hydrangea…stunning.
Thank you, lovely Paradis! ๐ No worries at all about choosing a favorite flower. There are so many, many beauties. ๐
Thank you, my dear Tuula!! I guess girls like you and I just have to buy flowers and admire others handiwork, eh? ๐
Ohhh, I LOVE those hydrangea fences too, Val! They’re so stunning. ๐
As always, your photos are gorgeous! I just want to dive into those flowers. My favourite flower? I can never choose just one. Tulips, because when my entire city is carpeted in them, that means it’s spring. Lily of the valley and lilac for the same reason, but also because they smell so amazing. Peonies because they’re big and fragrant and old-fashioned. Frangipani because it’s so wonderful smelling and exotic to me. The only ones I grow? Orchids.
๐
Oh thank you, Mary! Wow – your city in the spring sounds absolutely glorious!!! ๐ I’m so glad you reminded me of peonies. I love them too! ๐
These flowers are stunning Krista & the simple rose is my fave, I just love the smell ๐ I’m green with envy having loved your article on The Travel Belles. The photos are wonderful, its a place that’s high on my bucket list to visit. Great stuff, loved it & look forward to more posts of your Cancun visit.

I love the big pinky/mauve star shaped flower. Absolutely stunning. I am so glad you had a wonderful holiday. ๐
