I’ve now been sick for a week with a ghastly cold/flu combo that’s hanging on for dear life. Grrr. ๐
So I’m taking a deep breath, sipping umpteen cups of tea, and dreaming of happier moments in sun-drenched Mexico. Care to join me? I’ll get the fruity drinks, you grab the towels and I’ll meet you on the beach. ๐
Perhaps mid-afternoon we could dust the sand off our feet, don a fetching cover-up of some sort, and pop into the beach side cafe for dessert. Would you rather have the Mango Strawberry Tart or the Chocolate Brownie?
Thanks for taking a little vicarious trip with me. I feel better already! ๐
If you could be whisked off on vacation anywhere today, where would you go?
(If you’d like to know more about this lovely spot in Cancun, it is the Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand. I spent four days there last month courtesy of Royal Holiday.)
Ummm, now you have ME dreaming of Mexico!!! Awesome pics. Hope you feel better. ๐
Thank you, Andi! ๐ It’s great to meet you. ๐
Wonderful, hope you are feeling better. I can almost taste that mango and strawberry.
THE TART! Get well bb, hubs was sick with a thing that took him out of commission for two weeks!
Thank you Lindy Lou! ๐ I hear this particular bug lasts about two weeks, so I’ve got 5 days to go. I can make it! ๐
That was my favorite too, Duchess! ๐ Your poor hubs! Two weeks is what I’ve been told to expect too. Ugh. ๐
Oh my, these pictures made me totally speechless. So beautiful. If I could go anywhere today… hmm. Well, after seeing these I would want to go somewhere warm. Anywhere really as long as it looks like that! ๐
I love children’s book illustrations too, why arent books for adults illustrated!? Thank you for sharing some of your favs, nice to know about some foreign illustrators also. I recognised Jill Barklem, her books have been translated into Swedish also.
By the way, do you translate my blog with like Google Translate or how do you read it? ๐
Feel better! That is one gorgeous beach!

Thank you, Malin! ๐ I’m so glad you talked about illustrations on your blog today. ๐ Made me want to go home and page through my favorite illustrated books again!! Yes – I read your blog with Google Translate. ๐
I’ll do my best, Carol. ๐ Isn’t the beach lovely? Sigh. I love it. ๐
I will happily feed such a beast, Paradis!! I hope you get to visit very soon! ๐
You’re so welcome, Faith! I’m glad they delight you too. ๐
Oooh, right now I would LOVE to be in Mexico. It’s getting so chilly here and some sun would do me good. And that mango tart is calling my name!
A little armchair travel will cure anything. I hope you feel better soon!!
This is beautiful. I hope you feel better!
Oh wow! I am dying to go ‘to there.’ ๐ Your photography is fantastic, girl.
Me too, Katie! I’m SO cold tonight and dreaming of sunshine. ๐
You’re so right, Val. ๐ I’m doing a bit better tonight, thanks. ๐
Thank you, El. ๐ I’m so glad you like it!
Thank you SO much, Bekah!! That means a LOT coming from you!! ๐
I wouldnt be able to say no to the mango strawberry tart. Gorgeous white beaches & the blue of the ocean is just the best isn’t it.
Mmmm, lets see. If I could slip off for a holiday it’d be to North Queensland – Port Douglas and take in a bit of serious sunshine & beach life for awhile. I’m feeling a little ‘not so great’ today, battling something or other as well.
Here’s to feeling fabulous and sunshine Krista.
sky blue beachhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I WANT

Wow Krista, those are some beautiful pictures! Such clear blue waters and gorgeous white sand. Looks so peaceful with no screaming kids around, unlike at my house lol. I’d take a trip to Cancun with you anyday :-D. Really hope you get some relief soon. Get lots of rest and don’t be afraid to just listen to your body.
PS
I’d love to travel to LA. I’ve never been and have heard such wonderful things about it.
