Mornin’ luvs! How are you this fine day?
After a good night’s sleep I’m doing my darnedest not to get stressed as I ponder how to get everything done before I move to Amsterdam on Friday. Yipes! 🙂
I’ve been learning how to space things out so I do a few necessary and a few fun things each day. It’s been so good to have time to visit with dear friends in between hustling to banks, the post office and doctors offices. I’m grateful beyond measure to the lovely folks who have come to help me do the things I can’t do.
Have you moved before? Do you have any tips for me? Things to remember, ideas to make the transition easier? I’m all ears. 🙂
Wishing you a most wonderful Monday as I finish my bowl of berries and dash out the door. xo
Stunning.
Thank you, BakerStreet! Berries can’t help being gorgeous. 🙂
Gah!!! So excited!!! On the flipside will you share any tips and tricks you learn along the way?
Me too, Cailin!!! YAY!! 🙂 I sure will! 🙂
one foot in front of the other – and glad to hear you’re getting all the goodbye goodies with friends. Â it will happen so fast! Â just don’t forgot your passport!Â
Thank you, Paradis, that’s exactly what I’m doing. 🙂 One thing after another. 🙂
So exciting Krista!!!This seems to have happened so fast. Say hello to Ansterdam for us. As far as tips on moving, you seem to have it covered.
It IS exciting, dear Val, AND happening so fast. I can’t wait to sink down into my airplane seat and rest. 🙂
Good luck with the move. Â I love your photo!
Thank you, Beth! 🙂 I’m so glad you like it. 🙂
Good luck with your move on Friday, so exciting for you. Yes I have like you moved to a different country but not sure any advice from me would help.  Take Care and keep in touch via FB as sure you will be too busy to blog for awhile. 🙂
Thank you, Linda! I think I’ll be excited when I’m not so exhausted. 🙂 I will definitely keep in touch!
How did the move to Australian turn into the move to Amsterdam? I am sure that is a long and heart breaking story – BUT, moving to Amsterdam is so exciting!!! I am so happy for you. Tips? I will be asking you. I plan to move to Europe in a few years and will need lots of tips about moving across countries. Keep good notes. Chin up – and have a blast!
I am so sorry I have neglected you these past few months. Thought of you often. But, too much on my own plate (daughter’s wedding, etc) to even venture into the blogging realm. But, I am happy to be back, catching up, and inspired, once again.
🙂
Valerie
Oh no worries, Valerie! I’m still going to Australia. Just taking a 3-month pit-stop in Europe so I can be in my brother’s wedding and visit dear friends. 🙂 I’ve really missed you and am so glad you’re back! 🙂
Wow Krista, I can’t believe you are moving already, the time just flew by! I am SO excited for you…and also thrilled because that means you will be closer to us, yahoo 🙂 Good luck getting all your last minute stuff done, stressful but exhilarating at the same time! Can’t wait for this next step in you life 🙂 xo xo
It sure has, dear Tuula! 🙂 My brain is whirling and my body is saying SLEEP SLEEP! But I’m getting there and will happily sink into my plane seat on Friday to rest for 9 solid hours. 🙂
I love this time of year for all the wonderful fresh berries. I have moved so often, but I am so disorganized that it’s a real scramble, so I have no good advice for you! All the best and I can’t wait to read your first post from Amsterdam!
Thank you, Mary! Trying to knuckle down and concentrate on my last two days. Eeesh. 🙂
Holy smokes, so soon. I’m jittery with excitment for you darlin. Hmmm… Moving countries is crazy, something I absolutely insist you ensure is sorted before jetting is… You have phone credit, Internet access. If u can talk to ur people whenever, everything else seems easier. 🙂 thinking of you. Hugs. Xxxx
Wow – that’s exciting!! I have indeed moved countries but am now struggling to think of useful tips!! Probably the best tip is that if you are packing stuff into boxes make sure you have a VERY detailed inventory. Finding stuff in boxes later marked “papers” or “kitchen stuff” is an impossibility. I was totalyl anal retentive about my inventory, but it proved realyl useful when you needed something but did not have the energy to unpack all the boxes! Best of luck, sweetie!
I love this. In summer time, it is one of my favorite breakfasts (plus wild strawberries etc.)
Don’t waste your time stressing out. It won’t change anything but eating those berries will. I just bought some strawberries and I think, I am going to get them, now.
